Criteria to choose a restaurant during working day
When choosing a restaurant, in 2018, Belgian workers consider important or very important practical criteria linked to working life constraints such as a quick service (82%) and the location of the restaurant, which has to be close to their workplace (80%). The dishes served have to be affordable (79%), the environment of the restaurant has to be pleasant (73%) and the restaurant has to serve locally produced/seasonal food (63%). These figures have remained quite constant over the years.
In 2018, Belgian workers also give importance to the balance of their dish when choosing a restaurant as 74% consider important or very important that the restaurant offers good nutritional quality meals. This figure is very close to the European average in 2018, which is 75%. This figure has remained quite constant over the past 7 years.
